Please keep in mind that I’m not a musician, there are already a few reviews from that perspective. My use is for an audio interface for podcasting and streaming videos with real-time processing and monitoring. The Thunderbolt helps tremendously in that area. You can be the judge for the noise floor.
Another small benefit I noticed is that my Canon USB scanner used to make my audio on the Scarlett stutter and eventually go out.

With my headphones, the noise benefit is barely noticeable with the Mogami Gold, however, it seems more sensitive to ambient noise.
